Latino Screenplay Competition | Rules & Regulations

1.	Entries must be postmarked by October 31, 2008. To receive notification of receipt of submission, include self-addressed stamped postcard with your entry.
2.	Entry must include an original screenplay over 80 pages, acceptance of 'Terms' online, and required entry fee. Payment by check should be payable to: Tica Productions.
3.	Entry fee is non-refundable.
4.	Screenplays will NOT be returned.
5.	Screenplays must not, at time of submission, have been published, produced, sold or under option.
6.	Screenplays must be original screenplays. Adaptations will only be accepted if author possesses rights to adapt original work. Writer(s) may be asked to provide written and executed proof of their right to adapt the previously published work to screenplay form or to prove the original work is indisputably in public domain. If proof of rights cannot be provided, LSC reserves right to disqualify entry.
7.	More than one entry may be submitted. Screenplays may be submitted together, including one check for combined application fees.
8.	The screenwriter will assume shipping costs of materials to the LSC.
9.	Entries must maintain some aspect of Latino life, culture, peoples or language in the screenplay.
10.	Screenplays will be accepted in all languages. Screenplays in languages other than Spanish, English or Portuguese require English translation.
11.	The selection committees' and juries' decisions are final.
12.	Screenplays must be submitted with industry-standard binding: brad-bound, three-hole punched, with Title, Author(s) Name, Revision No., Date of Draft/Revision on Title Page, Registration No. and Contact Information.
13.	All screenplays must be registered with the Writers Guild of America.
14.	Finalists will be informed of their Finalist standing via email or telephone on or around December 15, 2008.
15.	Winners will be announced on or around January 28, 2009.
16.	Cash prizes and sponsor prizes will be provided to winners on or around March 1, 2009.
17.	The LSC reserves the right to make any necessary changes in rules and regulations or competition awards.
